THE ARRIVAL

How do you make a grand entrance at a wedding on the Louisiana bayou? By boat, of course! For this editorial, the happy couple arrive at Palmetto’s on the Bayou by boat on picturesque Bayou Bonfouca. This waterfront restaurant and Acadiana-style event venue is located at historic Robert’s Landing in Slidell, Louisiana, about a 45 minute drive across Lake Pontchartrain from New Orleans.

Fluente Designs created this headpiece inspired by the moss and irises found in the Louisiana Bayou. The iris is hand-crafted .

THE CEREMONY

For this editorial, Erin of It’s Your Time Events, envisioned a rustic, outdoor ceremony on the covered deck at Palmetto’s on the Bayou. With Louisiana Cypress trees as the backdrop, she incorporated burlap draping from ELEMENT with fresh florals accenting the altar and chandelier, designed by Grow With Us Florist, and elegant gold lanterns from Firefly Ambiance to line the aisle.
