Tasteful Favors – Fall 2017

Cuisine: Chef Geoffrey Rhode for Pigeon Caterers, with styling by Leah Berhanu

Food favors have long been loved by wedding guests and for good reason – everyone loves a treat at the end of a great wedding!  We love these delicious takes on food favors presented by the catering experts at Pigeon Caterers.

This recipe cutting board is perfect for the  couple that loves cooking or has a family recipe they would like to share. The board is made by lo-tech.com and they can even print of both sides if you like! This is a lovely keepsake your guests can hang on their kitchen wall.

This is a GREAT favor for weddings between All Kings Day and Mardi Gras. It’s fitting for the season and your guests will be craving King Cakes this time of year! The king cakes come individually wrapped with a special note and can be dusted in your wedding colors to tie them in with your wedding theme.

These cookies are a Pigeon bakery specialty, but the idea is to have some kind of cookie that your guests will appreciate or that is a favorite of the newlyweds. Every culture has some type of cookie, so this would be a great way to tie in any international influence for your wedding. Examples include Mexican Wedding Cookies, Alfajores, Madeleines, Pizzelles, and Danish Butter Cookies.

Who doesn’t love a triffle? These “sweet” little treats are sure to be a hit you’re your guests and attaching a spoon makes it easy for your guests to enjoy this treat before they make it home or to their hotel.

Not only is this a very “New Orleans” treat, it’s something nice and light to enjoy at the end of the night.

Assorted Flavored Nuts are something Pigeon creates in house. These treats allow couples to be creative with their personal favorites. Mix and match a variety of flavors!  This same idea can be applied to any type of specialty seasonings that the couple may enjoy, hot sauces, jams etc….the list goes on and on.

Take away cocktails! Guests can just pour these over ice and enjoy a night cap. Have his and her favorites, or keep it locally traditional if you have a lot of guests coming in from out of town.

This favor is sure to be appreciated by guests! These “Recharge Bags” include a Mini Muffuletta, bottle of water, Pralines and Advil. Your guests can enjoy a quick bite on their way to the After Party; have fun with these and put the next location on the bag! You can also have a bag of goodies waiting for your guests on the bus to the hotel.
