REAL WEDDING:: Victoria + Jamie (Starting a New Chapter)

Ending the chapter of their undergraduate career, Victoria and Jamie didn’t expect to begin a new journey so soon. But the couple began writing the new pages of their story after sealing their first kiss on the dance floor at a mutual friends graduation celebration.

Outlasting a summer romance and a few years in-between, Jamie asked for Victoria’s hand on a rainy afternoon in the French Quarter. Jamie planned to celebrate completing her nursing school final exam with a festival in the Quarter. Reluctant at first because of the weather, Victoria agreed not aware of the surprise in store. As they were walking through the gate of Jackson square, Victoria realized that there was no festival, but she did see a group of familiar faces. Surrounded by friends and family and the St. Louis Cathedral as their background, Jamie got down on one knee and professed his love for Victoria. Her smile was blinding when she said yes.

While the rest of their story is still unwritten, according to the Ed Sheeran’s song “Thinking Out Loud,” the song they chose for their first dance, they have will have decades before their love story is finished.

  1. I’m so proud of Jamie and Victoria. As you can see, they are a beautiful couple and certainly blessed by God. You both will have mountains to claim and valleys to cross but as long as you keep God first, there will never be a mountain too high to claim and no valley to low enough to cross. I (mom Victoria) love you both and I pray daily for God to continue to keep, save and protect you in Jesus’ Name!
