They were walking in a world of gray, until a chance dinner with friends brought an explosion of color into their lives.

Even though Saralane and Christopher were sitting at opposite ends of the dinner table, they felt an instant connection. By the end of the night Christopher asked Saralane on a first date that lasted four days through the 4th of July weekend.

As their love painted a new adventure, during a weekend trip through California wine country, Christopher was ready to make Saralane his forever.

After a romantic stroll through the flower fields, Christopher dropped to one knee. However, Saralane was in such a shock she screamed “No way,” before she realized that she needed to say yes!

While both Saralane and Christopher live in Los Angeles, Saralane wanted to keep the wedding close to her Southern roots in her hometown of New Orleans. With an artistic and colorful DIY wedding, the couple made sure their wedding would be not one easy to forget. From the water color backdrops to the tie-dye chuppah, aisle runner and second line handkerchiefs, Saralane and Christopher’s wedding was an artistic expression of their love.

“We really wanted our wedding to incorporate my southern heritage with an artsy twist,” Saralane said. “I did a ton of DIY because I wanted our family and friends to come away with the feeling that we put a lot of love into every detail.”
