Modern Romance – Fall 2017

This land and sea inspired fashion and decor editorial was styled by Kim Sayatovic of Belladeux Event Design. The vision for the editorial was to capture the peace and beauty of the seaside with a modern, romantic twist. The ballroom of Marche provided the perfect contrast. Marche is situated just steps from the banks of the Mississippi River in New Orleans and features views of the river on one side and French Quarter rooftops on the other. Gorgeous light pours in through the ballroom’s windows.

The editorial featured everything from shimmering, billowing ballgowns to soft, dreamy designs. Featured designers included Eve of Milady, Sottero and Midgley, Calla Blanche, Essense of Australia, Mori Lee by Madeline Gardner and Justin Alexander from Pearl’s Place and The Bridal Boutique by MaeMe.

Decor elements included whimsical trees with white leaves and candles that floated in vases filled with seagrass by Firefly Ambiance. Elegant chairs, including a silver and white throne and “Chameleon” chairs from True Value Rental perfectly complemented the swirling linens from BBJ and the soft, low florals by NOLA Flora. To add an extra touch of whimsy, True Value Rental also supplied special fog effects.

Dazzle Doll created natural and soft, yet glamorous looks for the models who were captured by Theresa Elizabeth Photography and Dyle Films.
