Bridal Bash:: Expect the Unexpected {Event Recap}

We had an absolute blast creating Bridal Bash Expect the Unexpected at The Cannery in New Orleans. Bridal Bash isn’t your typical bridal show. For each event we create interactive events and magical wedding planning experiences. This event took place on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 and we welcomed hundreds of brides, grooms and wedding parties at the Bash.

As attendees arrived, VIP ticket holders were greeted with a red carpet entrance, expedited registration and a NOLA Girl canvas tote bag filled with goodies.

The Bubble Lounge

The Cannery’s beautiful covered patio was transformed into the Bubble Lounge by Alchemy Events and featured an ethereal design that included candles from Firefly Ambiance, rentals and special effects fog machine from True Value Rental.

VIP ticket holders were treated to savory macarons and a specialty cocktail from Toulouse Gourmet Catering that was featured in the Eco-Luxe editorial from our Fall 2019 print edition (check out the virtual edition here).

Wedding Pro Meet + Greet

Inside The Cannery, more than 50 wedding professionals showcased their businesses and chatted with brides and grooms about their upcoming weddings. Bridal shows, like Bridal Bash, are a great opportunity to meet lots of wedding vendors in a short period of time and get an idea of what it will be like to work with them for your wedding. As an added bonus, many businesses at Bridal Bash offer exclusive packages and rates for guests at the event, so attending the Bash is a great way to save money and get perks you might not have otherwise!

Event sponsors Bronco Wine Company provided samples of their sparkling wines, Blanc de Bleu Cuvee Mousseux, for Bridal Bash guests to sample. Guests sampled their choice of the effervescent blue wine or the new Blanc de Rose wine.

The Charming Scavenger Hunt sponsored by The Bead Shop

Couples were invited to compete in a scavenger hunt at Bridal Bash sponsored by local jewelry making store, The Bead Shop on Magazine Street. Using the newly released Fall+Winter edition of New Orleans Weddings Magazine, guests searched for exhibitors at the Bash who matched clues provided to them. Each clue solved would earn the guest a charm and once they had collected all the charms, they were entered into a special drawing for  a free engagement photo session from Sarah Alleman Photography.

Featured Cocktails from Republic NOLA

Bridal Bash featured a specialty cocktail station by Republic NOLA. Jessica Talazac, co-host of Cocktails with the Krewe podcast and Director of Special Events at Republic NOLA, greeted guests with samples of two of the cocktails featured on the wedding planning podcast.

Cake Pull for Prizes sponsored by Gambino’s Bakery and The Bead Shop.

Every bride in attendance was invited to participate in our Cake Pull for Prizes sponsored by Gambino’s Bakery and The Bead Shop. Brides pulled charms hidden in colorful sugar to find out if they won a prize! If a ring charm was pulled, the bride won a prize!

Live entertainment by The Phunky Monkeys

Throughout the evening, guests enjoyed live music by The Phunky Monkeys at Bridal Bash. The Phunky Monkeys are more than just a band, they provide an entertainment experience you and your guests will never forget.

Door Prizes + The Grand Prize Honeymoon Giveaway from Paradise Vacation Escapes

Bridal Bash exhibitors provided an array of gifts for our prize drawings!
