New Orleans Weddings Magazine partnered with amazing wedding professionals to put on a bridal show unlike any other featuring interactive experiences, design showcases, prizes, and a world class view of the city. This amazing event took place on Tuesday, August 22nd, 2017 at the DoubleTree by Hilton on Canal Street in New Orleans. Here are some highlights of our Bridal Show with a View! The newly renovated International Ballroom at the DoubleTree by Hilton on Canal Street in New Orleans. Photo courtesy of the DoubleTree.
The event design had a Land and Sea theme inspired by the geode rock pattern of the DoubleTree’s International Ballroom flooring. This opened up the imaginations of event designer Kim Sayatovic of Belladeux Event Design and needless to say, she rocked it. Who would put 3 huge dolphins from Mardi Gras Productions right at the entrance? Belladeux Event Design would, of course!Larger than life dolphins greeted Bridal Show with a View guests in the lobby of the DoubleTree Hotel. Photo by Gabby Chapin Photography
The attendees ascended to the second floor where they were greeted with water dyed goodie bags on a giant clam shell. These goodie bags had bridal cups from the DoubleTree, gourmet peanuts from Pigeon Catering, and of course copies of the latest issue of New Orleans Weddings Magazine were waiting for guests to scoop them up just steps away! Each bride in attendance received a hand-dyed ombre tote bag. One of our anticipated features on this floor was the Bubble Lounge. Bubbles and balloons floated everywhere and there even was even inflatable furniture from True Value Rentals. Here the attendees enjoyed drinks at the bar and sipped on Blanc de Bleu sparkling wine. The entrance to the Bubble Lounge at the Bridal Show with a View. Photo by Gabby Chapin Photography.
To make it even more unique the Bubble Lounge boasted a champagne dress model from Magnolia Entertainment who served the sparkling blue wine to the guests.
On the 16th floor, attendees mingled with over 70 of the best New Orleans wedding vendors. Brides got to talk to a plethora of wedding professionals from photographers, videographers, caterers, beauty, attire, planners, and many others.
Guests got to also participate in our Charming Scavenger Hunt while listening to a Jazz Trio from Magnolia Entertainment and sipping on cocktails. The charms turned into great cake pull gifts for each of brides. The Double Tree also had their famous cookies on display with a delicious milk and cookie bar.

The final stop was the Double Tree’s penthouse on the 17th floor where attendees could take a break and view the city. This was a once in a lifetime view that all of our brides and attendees could experience. Guests were treated to piano music, mimosas and lite bites courtesy of 12 Seasons Catering.
By the end of the night, brides, grooms, their families, and their friends were on their feet dancing while they waited for the prize announcements that surely didn’t disappoint. Winners received gift certificates from our favorite vendors including massages, videography services, an engagement photo session, and much more!
