SOMETHING BLUE 2016 :: BRIDAL SHOW RECAP

Photos by Ryan Martin for Studio Tran Photography

Couples looking for that perfect “Something Blue” found inspiration everywhere at our 2nd Annual Something Blue Bridal Event on Tuesday, March 1st at Generations Hall.

Guests walked down the blue carpet lined with lanterns from Firefly Ambiance in Generations Hall‘s courtyard and after checking in, received a “Something Blue” tote bag to carry the goodies they’d receive at the show.

Event highlights included a meet and greet with fashion designer Tieler James from Project Runway Threads and New York Fashion Week lead hair stylist, Niki Walker-Kennedy of Niki Walker Salon. Both celebrity guests collaborated on the fashion editorial that graced the cover of NOW’s Spring+Summer Edition that debuted at the show and signed copies of the magazine and posed for pictures with guests in the Metro One Showcase designed by Wink Design + Events with decor from Event Rental.

Cover model, Toria Rome, and guest model Helena Koclanes, wore the gowns designed by Tieler James for NOW’s fashion editorial. As in the editorial, the models’ hair was styled by Niki Walker-Kennedy and their makeup was by Ann Marie White for Dazzle Doll.

The Social Station powered by The Social Booth featured a giant bling ring for guests to pose with and everyone received a commemorative print to take home.

Blanc De Bleu Cuvee Mousseux treated show attendees to tastings of their sparkling blue wine and 12 Seasons Catering tempted taste buds with samples in their showcase in Metro 1. After the savory samples, guests visited the Sweet Shop sponsored by The Sweet Life Bakery which was filled with sweet confections ready for sampling.

Local bridal salons showcased bridal and bridesmaids gowns in the Gown Showcase – each salon included a blue gown to complement the event theme!

Couples learned how to submit their wedding for feature in the NOW News Lounge (Click Here to learn how to submit your wedding!) and received the brand new issue of NOW to take home!

The Phunky Monkeys performed live on stage in The Big Room and show exhibitors showcased their businesses throughout the venue. At the end of the evening, lucky winners took home door prizes from show exhibitors.
