Their story began in 2008 at a local restaurant, where Bliss was waitressing and Ty and his friends went to have a good time. Yet, while Bliss was cautious, Ty knew he found his soulmate.

“He is quick to claim that he always had a crush on me and knew I was the one,” Bliss says.

However, they weren’t quite at the point in their lives where they could settle down.

So they were patient. Ty didn’t give up when Bliss decided that she wouldn’t kiss him when the clock struck midnight on New Year’s because it would jinx her year. Bliss was patient while Ty chose what to next with his life. Ty waited, uncomplainingly, as Bliss lived out her dreams and moved to a bigger city to attend college.

The five years were long, but it made their love stronger.

“Our relationship suffered, but we always found each other. I wouldn’t change anything about it because we learned what fighting for love was about,” Bliss said. “Through it all, we ended up where we belonged, and that was by each others’ side.”

Fast forward to 2014, Ty and Bliss finally found their right moment. They started jobs they enjoyed, purchased a new home and found happiness in each other. Therefore, it was no surprise that on Dec, 21, 2014, Ty got down on one knee and asked for Bliss to be his wife.

With their past setting the foundation, Ty and Bliss started to build their future with a beautiful white and gold themed wedding. Featuring vintage cars, Mardi Gras decorations and a fireball machine, Ty and Bliss had a night they would never forget.
