"Our wedding colors were sangria with pops of yellow. Sangria is a beautiful spring color that looked great with all skin tones and really popped against the sunset/dusk backdrop of the balcony of the Riverview Room. It also played very nicely with yellow - which is my favorite color."

"On May 14, 2014 we had the "relationship talk" where he officially asked me to be his girlfriend. It was not completely intentional, but just two years later, around the same time and on the same day, we became husband and wife."

"We chose the Riverview Room as our venue - it was one of the few venues that provided a 360 view of the city. We were married on the balcony, which gave us gorgeous views of the French Quarter and Central Business District, then the reception took place inside - which flaunted it's own beautiful views of the Mississippi River, GNO and Algiers. Between the views and the food, we knew it was the right spot for us."

"My bridesmaids were all selected because of the roll they played in my life. I had 6 bridesmaids, 4 of whom are married and selected me as their Maid of Honor in their weddings. I say that to show just how close we all are and how much they mean to me. They are all so very special and it meant the world to me that they could all be there."

"We made a caricature of a picture we took on the day of our engagement in Jackson Square and had everyone signed around it on the mat and now we have a keepsake hanging in our house."

"For the first dance song with my dad, I chose "Sitting on the Dock of the Bay." It was a complete surprise to him, although historically it is our song. My dad taught me how to swing dance to that song every night when I was little. He would put that song on and my sister and I would take turns dancing with him."

"Kyle and I both live, eat and breathe New Orleans. That was one of the first things that attracted me to him was his love and appreciation for the city."

Leslie wasn’t really expecting Mr. Right when she swiped right on Kyle’s photo, but the Tinder of love was ignited when Leslie and Kyle matched.

The larger the flame grew, the stronger their love became. One morning, Kyle made Leslie breakfast in bed. Reveling in the sweet gesture, Leslie didn’t expect that in middle of her breakfast, Kyle would bend down on one knee and ask for her hand in marriage.

“Of course I said ‘yes’ (with a mouth full of bacon) and danced and cried and went through all of the emotions,” Leslie said. “After breakfast, we headed to French Quarter Festival where all of my friends and family was waiting for us. We celebrated in true New Orleans style, with food, music and sunshine.”

With a love for New Orleans that goes as deep as their love for each other, their wedding was wrapped in New Orleans charm. From choosing the Riverview Room for its view of New Orleans to an in house second line, the couple captured the essence of New Orleans.

“Kyle and I both live, eat and breathe New Orleans. That was one of the first things that attracted me to him was his love and appreciation for the city,” Leslie said. “We modeled our wedding around the city we love and highlighted our love through it’s beauty.”
