REAL WEDDING:: Intimate Garden Ceremony in City Park {Lamar + Patrice}

Patrice and Lamar were both students at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, when they met each other at a house party and fell head-over-heels in love.

However, when Lamar graduated, distance tried to pull them apart, but for two years they nurtured a long-distance relationship that made their love for each other even stronger.

While Patrice said that she and Lamar couldn’t be any more different, she saw her future with him, so it was no surprise when she said yes when he proposed.

“We couldn’t be more different, but we must be enough alike where it counts,” Patrice says. “When the going gets tough, I can depend on Lamar for unconditional love and support and an inappropriate joke of some sort to lighten the mood.”

Lamar and Patrice had an intimate outdoor wedding on a beautiful autumn New Orleans day.

As a special touch the wedding, Patrice’s 78-years-old grandmother walked her down the aisle. Patrice was raised by her grandmother and late aunt, so it very touching to her to have someone so important be an integral part of her wedding. The moment was made even more perfect when instead of a father-daughter dance, she was able to dance with her grandmother to Lionel Richie’s “Three Times a Lady.”

With a love too much for a lifetime, Lamar and Patrice began their first day of forever with a happily ever after.

“We have been together forever, but we wanted to make sure that we did it our way and built something that will last for a lifetime,” Lamar says. “Patrice has always been there for me when I needed her and has supported me in the good and bad times. I knew from the first time I met Patrice that there was something very special about her. I also knew that she was the woman that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with.”
