Globetrotting Decor: Greek Island Inspired Wedding Decor Ideas

“Our Greek inspiration came from the nighttime hillsides of the Islands. It came from visions of the weathered wood of old boats, the weave of fishing baskets, the lighted windows shining from whitewashed walls of clustered villages, the cerulean of the dome church roofs, greenery growing wild and touches of the natural and cultural elements seen throughout the Mediterranean. There’s a certain elegance to be found in sheer simplicity and in the plain beauty of a landscape. That kind of elegance was our aim.” – Melissa Johnson + Danielle Couturie’, Nola Bash

Ellen Martin Kramer is originally from a very small town near Lafayette, Louisiana right in the heart of Cajun Country. She came to New Orleans in 2002 and now lives in Picayune, Mississippi, a short hour’s drive to the Big Easy. Her experience spans many areas as she is a lover of learning new things and immediately incorporates those into her entrepreneurial pursuits, from home and office organizing and wedding/event planning to web design. She has appeared on Dr. Oz, TLC’s Hoarding Buried Alive and The Larry King Live Show during her career as an Organizing and Productivity Consultant. Her true love has always been weddings and beautiful events. Even as a teen she loved weddings, planning and creating various perfect weddings for herself….with no actual fiance ? Her first taste of real event planning came with becoming a member of the Social Events committee for the Miss Louisiana Organization in 1999. Since then she has planned weddings, social events, conferences and educational summits.
