Robinette - Guidry

Courtney Lyn Robinette and Christopher Carl Guidry, along with their parents, are pleased to announce their engagement. The couple became engaged on May 22,2010 when Chris popped the question during the intermission of the play Alice in Wonderland. Courtney and Christopher plan to tie the knot in May of 2012. 

Culicchia - Cash

Todd Cash and Ashley Culicchia, along with their parents, are excited to announce their engagement. The proposal was on Monday, May 17 after 4 years of dating.  After meeting the second day of their freshman orientation, the intimate proposal was a wonderful surprise and the perfect way to end the couples college career.  Todd, a financial analyst, creatively popped the question by saying, "We have been together for 1,322 days and I want to be with you for the rest of my life.  Will you marry me?"  To this Ashley responded with, "Are you serious? This better not be a joke! Yes! Yes!"  Todd and Ashley describe their relationship as fun loving and adventurous.  The couple is excited to begin the next chapter of their life together as husband and wife.

Ruley - Jones

Nikkole Ruley & Victor Jones, of the New Orleans area, became officially engaged on October 3, 2010 at Lafreniere Park in Metairie. Nikkole is a native of Weymouth, MA and Victor is from Pascagoula, MS. Both are graduate students at UNO and Loyola Law (respectively). They first met on a blind date arranged by a mutual friend. They both thank God for bringing one another into their lives, in such a mysterious and coincidental way!

Valliant - Compton

Alta Valliant and Peter Compton announce their engagement.

Alta is the daughter of Merrie and John Valliant of Wheat Ridge, CO and the granddaughter of James and Ann Valliant of New Orleans, LA. She is a 2007 graduate of Colorado State University with a degree in history and a 2009 graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with a Masters degree in Information Science. She is a development associate at the University of Texas at Austin.

Peter is the son of Camille Compton of Cedar Park, TX and Mike Compton of Georgetown, TX. He is a 2002 graduate of Georgetown High School and will graduate in 2011 from the University of Texas with a degree in Nursing. He works in the Emergency Room at St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center.

An October 2011 wedding is planned in New Orleans.

David and Kami, of the New Orleans Area, are proud to announce their engagement!

David and Kami 's first date was at Cafe' Pontalba in The French Quarter In New Orleans, followed by a long walk and talk down by the river. This was definitly the start of something magical!

David proposed to Kami at their home in the midst of a birthday dinner in honor of thier friend Lesley.

Kami is currently working for Elysian Fields Animal Clinic as a Receptionist. She is enrolled in Nunez Community College, earning her teaching credentials to achieve her goal of teaching elementary school children.

David is currently working as an Operation Manager for Freeman Decorationg Company.

The couple will marry in 2011 and will reside in St. Bernard Parish.

Tanner - Stewart

Carrita Tanner is the daughter of Pastor Robert D. Tanner, Jr. and Denise Elaine Tanner. She is 21 years old and a student of nursing at Our Lady of Holy Cross College in Algiers, LA. Joshua Jacob Stewart is 26 years old and a student at ITT Institute in St. Rose, LA. He loves music and also working in computer website designs. He is the son of Davis and Beverly Stewart and he has four other brothers. They have set a tentative wedding date for June 4, 2011.

Washington - Wilson

Joseph and Linda happily announce their engagement. They became engaged on Valentines Day of 2009. Linda and Joe have much love and support for each other. She is completing her Master's and Joe is pursing his love for photography.

Obermeyer - Tiliakos

Anjelle and Jason met while both working at Masquerade inside Harrah's casino. They found each other on Facebook and realized they were both single and went to lunch. The day after Christmas they went on their first "official" date to Delmonico's and were inseperable ever since. A year into their courtship Jason had an almost fatal accident at work. Anjelle was heartbroken and by God's grace Jason made it out of ICU and they knew they never wanted to be apart again. On March 4 Jason got on one knee and asked Anjelle to spend the rest of her life with him! Their wedding is planned for June 2, 2012 in the majestic oaks of City Park.

Cook - Chin

Kevin Chin and Jessica Cook, along with their parents, are excited to announce their engagement. The couple became engaged on Saturday, May 1, 2010.  The very private and intimate proposal swept Jessica off her feet and caught her completely off guard.  Kevin and Jessica are described as each other's "soul mates".  Together for 5 1/2 years, they have experienced their ups and downs, but always remained committed to each other. The response by many to their engagement was, "It's about time!"  They are looking forward to beginning this next chapter in their life.

Ms. Rebecca Condit is pleased to annouce the engagement of her daughter Connie Dietrich to Kyle Higdon, son of Ms. Deborah Higdon.  Connie and Kyle have much love and support for each other. Both Connie and Kyle are serving proudly in the United States Air Force.  Kyle is currently overseas at Kunsan AB, Korea while Connie is stationed at Eglin AFB, FL and anxiously awaiting his return.

Shawn Anthony Wilson, son of Dr. Michael Wilson and Ms. Gail Martina Wilson of New Orleans, and Dena Kumari Krishnan, daughter of Mr. Ajay Krishnan and Mrs. Bessy Krishnan of Toledo, Ohio, announce their engagement.  Shawn is a 2000 graduate of Jesuit High School who received his bachelor of science degree from Louisiana State University in Biological Sciences with a minor in Chemistry and master of science degree in Pharmacology from Tulane University.  Dena is a 2000 graduate of St. Ursula Academy who received her bachelor of science degree from Xavier University in Cincinnati in Biological Sciences and master of science degree in Biology from Bowling Green State University in Ohio.  The couple met in medical school at Lincoln Memorial University in Tennessee and have planned a spring wedding just weeks after their graduation. St Pierre - England

Marc England of Wheeling, West Virginia proposed to Erin St Pierre of Harvey, Louisiana on December 31, 2010.

They currently live in Woodbridge, VA.

Erin, an LSU graduate, works for the Department of Defense helping military and overseas citizens navigate the absentee voting process. She is currently training for a half ironman.

Marc, a graduate of Wheeling Jesuit, works as a controller for a law firm in downtown DC.

Marc and Erin will be married on December 31, 2011 at Rosy's Jazz Hall to ring in the new year together. They plan on moving to New Orleans eventually.

On June 18th while on a recent trip to Europe, Dennis proposed to Danielle at the famous Trevi Fountain in Rome. After dating only a few months, she asked him to accompany her on the trip, where they visited Rome before heading to Greece for a friend's wedding. Within the first few hours of the trip, Dennis popped the question, making it the most memorable vacation for either one of them. Dennis and Danielle will be wed on Saturday April 21, 2012 at the St Louis Cathedral during an afternoon ceremony. A reception will follow next door at the Presbytere.

On the 15th of September Ryan Christian Carderara asked me Rachel Lynn Flattmann to spend the rest of my life with him. We were at City park for Celebration in the Oaks when we walked pass a big beautiful tree that is covered in white led lights. He asked me if i wanted to take a picture so i gave my friend the camera and we stood by the tree. As i was getting ready for the photo he looks off into the distance and says " hey did we see those lights over there" and i didnt see anything so i was like where and he says over here. He was on one knee with ring in hand o it was the most romantic and magical thing i have ever experianced.

Wendi Mae Weileman and Nicholas Warren Hintz are officially engaged since April 29th! Since then, we have been dilegently planning our dream wedding! When we first met through work, we had an instant connection but kept it as cordial as we could, until our feelings for eachother could not subside. We immediately fell in love and Nick told me very early on that he was in love and I was the girl he was going to marry. I fell in love with him because of his love for me and how he treated me like a pure princess... He was a true man and the way he treated and loved me was exactly how I wanted my son Jace to learn to love. He and I knew it was just perfect when we enjoyed being with eachother everyday (at work, home, and everything in between). We are extremley excited about our wedding day. We invisioned a very formal wedding, so we will be marrying at St. Mary's Assumption Church Uptown. And we wanted a true, elegant/exotic reception full of blues, music, good food, and spirits - so The Parish at the House of Blues is where we will finish the night off for our reception!
