AMOUR! PARISIAN-INSPIRED ENGAGEMENT PARTY :: ALYSSA + COREY

Love was definitely in the air for this fabulous, Parisian-inspired engagement party.

Bride-to-be Alyssa Alexander and her fiance’, Corey Murphy, celebrated their engagement with an amazing bash at the Old Metairie home of New Orleans Saints’ Executive Vice President and General Manager Mickey Loomis and his wife, Melanie.  Alyssa has been the Loomis’ nanny for almost four years. “I’ve grown to love them like family,” shares Alyssa. “Melanie went above and beyond for us and I’ve never felt more lucky.”

Alyssa and Corey met as freshmen at a football game and they remained close friends through their senior year. It took years of Corey asking her out for Alyssa to finally say “Yes”  to a date, but she finally did. That first “Yes” led to another “Yes!” seven years later when Corey popped the question with the sweetest surprise proposal.

To style the engagement party for the happy couple, Melanie called on Kellie Mathas with Crystal Clear Creative. The Loomis’ chateau-style home was not only the event location, but Mathas’ inspiration for the event theme and decor. With an “Amour!” motif in mind (what other theme than “Love!” could be more appropriate for an engagement party?!), Mathas styled miniature Eiffel Towers and vases of Chanel No. 5 “perfume”  as centerpieces. A custom Air Star Light illuminated the outdoor seating near the residence’s pool and striped pillows and parasols added the finishing touches.

Pigeon Caterers created a custom “French New Orleans” menu and French 75s. Guests satisfied their sweet tooths with silver-leafed desserts by Crumb Gourmet out of Jackson, MS.

After indulging in all the culinary treats, guests enjoyed the playful Eiffel Tower photo op and Rave Entertainment DJs kept the party going well into the evening.

The evening was a great success and as Mathas puts it, “certainly sets a high bar for the rest of Alyssa and Corey’s upcoming wedding events!”

“[Our] engagement party was easily the best party I’ve ever been to!” shares Alyssa.
