You know exactly what you’ll be wearing, just what your bouquet will look like and exactly how handsome the groom will look at the end of the aisle. Though you’ve dreamed of that day for months, you may not have given a second thought to how you’ll do your makeup and hair and how you will prepare your complexion to look its best.

Don’t postpone these decisions until just weeks before the big day… they are as important as all the other details you’ve spent months arranging. After all, not liking the way you look when you step down the aisle can be extremely distressing and change the way you feel about the whole day.

Remember, looking beautiful begins with a fabulous complexion.

Expert Make up Tips
One of the easiest ways to guarantee a great makeup job on your wedding day is to carefully choose a professional makeup artist. You can ensure a good match by asking some simple questions: will the person you’re meeting with be the same person who does your make up on your wedding day? Can you do a trial run? Is the makeup artist organized and reliable? Will the make-up be applied on location or in studio? Also, look at pictures of their past work. If you don’t like what you see, go elsewhere.

If you choose to do your make up yourself, remember to plan ahead. Since camera lights will make your face appear lighter, check to see that your foundation leaves your face the same color as your neck and hands.

If you’re using sun beds to tan while covering your face, make sure that your base foundation matches the rest of your body. Professional makeup artists also recommend defining your eyebrows to open up your eyes, by having them tweezed in keeping with your natural eyebrow contour.

You should also decide on colors far in advance. Blushes should have a hint of natural color for contouring. And your lip color should match the color of the bridesmaids’ dresses and bouquets. Also whatever hairstyle you choose-whether it’s a cascade of curls or a classy up-do it should last the entire day.

Everyone should recognize you as you walk down the aisle; the idea is not to remake you but to make your look extraordinary! The makeup must look good from every angle. It should be smooth, natural and blended well, and hold up throughout the event without touch up!

Following these easy steps an planning your beauty regimen a few months before the big day will help you look and feel beautiful as you walk down the aisle.
